Grand Opening Ceremony at Lucton School Shanghai

On 3 September 2018, an independent school from the UK with 310 years history continued its new legend in China. Lucton School Shanghai was completed and a grand opening ceremony was held. Mr. John Edwards, British Consul-General Shanghai, Mr. Antony Paterson, Chairman of Governors of Lucton School, Mrs. Gill Thorne, Headmistress of Lucton School, Mr. Neil Clayton, Founding Headmaster of Lucton School Shanghai, Mr. Jason Zhou, Managing Governor of Lucton School Shanghai and Mr. Steven Yang, the Chief Executive of Opal Education, attended the Grand Opening Ceremony.

In the opening ceremony, Mr. Edwards gave full encouragement and affirmation to Lucton’s development in China, “Lucton has become a pioneer in offering a truly international educational experience, taking the best of British education ethos and Chinese learning practices. Through this new modern senior school in Shanghai, many more students will benefit from Lucton education content and delivery, uniquely blended with Chinese culture and traditions.”
